Mission

The mission of Nearby Nature Milwaukee is to support promote and celebrate environmentalism in Milwaukees communities of color. We work to renew natural areas in those communities and provide access for all.

Nearby Nature provided an environmental educator to work in predominantly Black schools in our target area to supplement environmental science education in those schools and provide outdoor experiences through field trips to nearby natural areas. This effort also includes a summer internship program focused on green career exploration
