Mission

Preserving a historic landmark, the Nebraska City Veterans Memorial Building, that honors our nation's defenders by fostering community, economic development, education, culinary and cultural arts.

Installation of technical equipment for stage operations including lighting audio, curtains, projector and screens for presentation of stage plays and meetings/seminars. Other renovation projects included general projects of paint, furniture, electrical work, floor repair and installation of exterior signage.

Expenses: $394K

Operation of the building to include availability of public meeting space, offices, and auditorium. Fees are collected to offset expenses and continue the operation of the building for future activities. The year resulted in the use of meeting rooms for four meetings, nine large and small parties, one art show, two cultural events, three music programs and three events in the adjacent parking lot. Two offices are in long-term leases. Veterans organizations are using office and meeting space free of charge and special events happened in the building for Memorial Day and Veterans Day.
