In 2024, NG USA provided funding to support the well-established social programs of NG AL. NG AL operated two soup kitchens in the cities of Pogradec and Gjirokaster, where approximately 120 warm meals were served daily to children and elderly in need. In addition, they distributed over 1,300 food packages in total, each around 25 pounds in weight, four times throughout the year. These packages included staple food items and were a consistent source of nutritional support for families facing economic hardship. Additional material aid provided by NG AL included clothing, medical supplies, wood for heating, and financial support for prescription costs and urgent needs. In addition, through the funds from NG USA, NG AL assisted families facing medical, social, and financial challenges, particularly those with children diagnosed with Down Syndrome, autism and other chronic conditions. Many of these children require therapies and medications that are costly and difficult to access in Albania. NG AL offered both financial support and in-kind services through its clinic in Bucimas and home visits, providing physical and speech therapy. Through the Children's Learning Center in NG AL, approximately 60 children received free behavioral and speech therapy, helping to reduce social isolation and promote inclusion for children with special needs. NG USA also supported their annual Christmas activity in Bucimas for children from the Learning Center and their mothers. This event included food, games, transportation, and gifts, offering both material support and emotional enrichment to participants. Additionally, NG USA provided funding to support a social program in Sunyani, Ghana aimed at meeting the basic needs of underserved youth. The organization provided material support, including clothing, food, school supplies, transportation assistance, and emergency aid to help youth and families navigate economic hardship with dignity and care.
