Mission

Neighbor for neighbor ("nfn") is an interfaith organization that demonstrates faith by action; serves the poor by providing services; educates the community about poverty; seeks justice for poor and powerless through advocacy; encourages all people to realize their potential. Neighbor for neighbor was established in 1966 when several area churches, businesses and concerned citizens banded together to respond to the needs of the poor and disenfranchised. Nfn incoporated in 1968 and became a 501c (3) in 1971. Nfn is privately funded and is not a united way agency or government agency. Serving 100% of the tulsa and surrounding metropolitan area. Nfn provides millions of dollars worth of goods and services to the poor and disenfranchised each year. A majority of that amount is from donations and volunteer services. Nfn has a tradition of maintaining a low overhead because of its large team of volunteers and in-kind donations. In 2003, nfn purchased northland center, a 129,000 sq ft promine
