Nv dept. Of education grant funds allowed nv. Assoc of school superintendents (nasa) to offer an institute within the organization dedicated solely to high-quality leadership development. The center for educational excellence institute (ceei) ix represents a focus on excellent professional development. The attendees of the ceei ix sessions included strategists, licensed substitutes, facilitators and teacher-leaders, coordinators, directors, site-level administrators, and central office administrators. Educators form clark county, churchill county, and washoe county school districts participated in ceei ix. Ceei was comprised of presenters who were national experts; nv dept of ed. Experts; nasa board members; state, local and district leaders; and presenters who have relevant work experiences. $50,000 grant funds were used to cover the cost of 26 facilitators of learning/presenters and the 2 session leaders. All funds were utilized and ceei ix was completed as planned.192 participants. 6 credits with 90 hours of virtual learning with presenters and 13 hours of deliverables. Group reflections allowed participants the opportunity to demonstrate an underrstanding of adaptive leadership traits, characteristics that impact change, and equitble action to enhance student growth.

Promote legislation that enhances the quality of education within the state of nevada and supports the development of a sustainable, homegrown teacher pipeline through improved educational infrastructure and policy advocacy.
