Mission
NAC is a recovery community organization RCO. As an RCO our organization organizes recovery focused policy advocacy activities carries out recovery focused community education and outreach programs and provides peer-based recovery support services RCC. Our broadly defined recovery community is people based in long-term recovery their families friends and allies and the recovery focused addiction and recovery professionals. NAC presents and reflects religious spiritual and secular pathways. Our sole mission as an RCO is to mobilize resources within and outside of the recovery community to increase the prevalence and quality of long-term recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. Public education policy advocacy and peer-based recovery support services are the strategies through which our mission is achieved.
Programs

NAC partners with the Douglas County Georgia emergency services EMS agencies Douglas County Fire Department and EMS. NAC assisted upon request EMS on calls involving substance abuse situations. NAC personnel were on call to provide these services. This program began in 2023.
NAC provides support to emerging adults aged 13 to 21 years old providing diversion programming substance use disorder recovery support services.
Under the Real Time program NAC provides services to the Tanner Healthcare Hospital System providing emergency room RCO services to anyone identified with substance use disorder.
NAC provides RCO services under several Miscellaneous Grants and Contributions from the General Public. Included within this category is the general overhead costs of NAC which is primarily salary and various infrastructure costs such as a compliance software transportation advocacy and awareness programs.
