Mission

Sharing the love of Christ by investing in people. Whether its walking alongside the next generation and their families at Kids Club or working together with adults at Volunteers in Medicine as they take charge of their health NBCM is all about showing Gods love. NBCM seeks to multiply possibilities in the lives of patients, students, families, volunteers and staff by faithfully nurturing purposeful growth in physical, mental, social and spiritual health. A team of 60 staff and 260 volunteers partnered together to advance NBCMs mission in 2024.

Programs

1 program

Kids Club staff and volunteers create a fun, engaging environment where kids thrive through positive relationships with caring adults. Kids grow academically, expand life skills and develop Godly character. In 2024, 320 elementary students participated in after-school programming where they enjoyed help with reading and homework, Bible stories and healthy meals. Most students (83%) achieved high ratings or showed improvement in key social skills cheerful obedience, demonstrating kindness and focused attention. Every program day, caring adult volunteers read aloud with students to help kids strengthen skills and develop a love of reading. 56% of students report that they want to get a lot better at reading and 78% of students report that they love to read bible stories. Kids Club provided 11,925 meals for at-risk children during the year. School-recommended students from 13 area schools participated twice a week in programming provided across five sites.
