Franciscan day centre - the centre offers daytime support services for adults with functional loss, alzheimer's, or other aging frailties and provides a viable option for seniors who can no longer be at home alone or are isolated due to disability. The franciscan centre specializes in caring for older adults who benefit from cognitive engagement, structured activities, social opportunities, medication monitoring and nutritious meals in a secure environment and combines meaningful, stimulating activities with special focus on individuals with short term memory loss.we provide two meals and a snack to our day program participants each day. Meals are a great time to socialize and exchange stories with other day program participants and staff. Other benefits of the centre include medication supervision, family support groups, outside field trips, mobile podiatry, a beauty shop and a therapeutic garden.
