Mission

New freedom project engages in charitable and educational activities by (a) providing wide-ranging assistance to low-income, justice involved individuals who are reentering the community in the form of food, clothing, health care, supportive and half-way housing, education, mentoring, vocational training, and job placement assistance; (b) providing short-term financial assistance to low-income, justice involved individuals who are reentering the community, including rent assistance, assistance with transportation costs, and educational scholarships; (c) promoting the successful re-entry of justice involved individuals into the community and preventing recidivism. New freedom project's mission is to create generational change and strengthen communities by providing critical resources to individuals on their reentry journey. These tax exempt purposes are consistent with the organization's amended and restated articles of incorporation filed with the acc on july 15, 2024. See attached.
