New hope midcoast believes that a life free from abuse is a fundamental human right and works to build a culture that will not tolerate domestic abuse. We support people as they create pathways to safety. By educating and empowering our communities, we support a more just and effective response to domestic violence and abuse.

Programs

2 programs

Individual advocacy program - provides intervention counseling through a 24-hour helpline, office visits, legal advocacy, information and referral services. Support groups - provides support and education for victims of domestic abuse. Certified domestic violence intervention program - provides a certified education program for women who use violence.

Expenses: $675K

Emergency shelter - provides temporary housing for individuals affected by domestic and dating violence and their children. Transitional housing program - provides short- and long-term housing assistance and personalized support for families who are homeless as a result of domestic violence.
