New hope of indiana, inc. Is a leader in providing holistic services and resources to persons with disabilities and their families while advocating to advance the opportunities for those in need of support.

New hope of indiana, inc. Serves clients in the group home program, a residential alternative. These homes serve individuals with multiple disabilities or traumatic brain injuries, or both. Four to eight clients live in each home located in residential areas throughout the greater indianapolis area. Each home offers a structured environment, providing training in self-care, self-direction, social skills and personal independence. Clients participate in day programs or competitive employment and are encouraged to actively pursue interest in the community.

Family and community services - new hope of indiana, inc. Serves some clients in the family home. The family and community program provides support services within the child's or young adult's home and community. Offerings include individualized assistance with all aspects of the child's or young adult's life including independent living skills, community connections, and follow through on therapy or educational goals.

Behavior support services - the goal of the behavior support services program is to help children and adults with developmental disabilities increase their ability to be successful at home, school, work, and in the community. Masters level behavior specialists provide in-depth assessments and develop positive behavior support plans based on the strengths and needs of each individual. The organization's consulting psychologist and psychiatrist meet weekly with the behavior specialists. This unique team approach ensures quality services for individuals, their families, and care providers. Day services program - the day services program is designed to provide social recreational activities to adults with high support needs. Individuals participate in activities of their choice which include cooking, gardening, crafts, art classes, literature class and community outings. The program incorporates the services of a canine companion facility dog to enhance the activities and experiences available to day service participants. Vocational services - new hope of indiana, inc. Offers vocational services to individuals who want to work in the community as well as those interested in starting their own micro business. Individuals work with employment consultants to develop an employment goal and design strategies to achieve that goal. Employers receive ongoing support and training regarding employment of persons with disabilities. Other program services - new hope of indiana, inc. Provides a variety of other services to clients.
