New Impact

Concentric advisors tri-sector innovation workshop: newimpact designed and delivered a tailored four-hour interactive workshop in january 2024 for the leadership team at concentric services, a private sector security advisor and services provider. The half-day session introduced tri-sector innovation (tsi) principles to generate innovation and new opportunities aligned with concentric's objectives. Participants identified potential impact areas, explored cross-sector opportunities, and identified resources and business model design to expand possibilities and applied to real company challenges.this initiative reflects newimpact's dedication to fostering innovative thinking within the private sector. The allocated funds covered essential workshop logistics and facilitation, materials, and tools, ensuring a transformative and impactful session for concentric services.

University of washington business/entrepreneurship classes: newimpact contributed to the university of washington's entrepreneurship curriculum by integrating tri-sector innovation into class discussions and instructional materials. This initiative provided students with insights into designing business models that align private, public, and social sector resources. Activities included guest lectures and interactive exercises. This work supported newimpact's mission to equip future entrepreneurs with knowledge of tsi and tools for scalable, high-impact innovation.

Other 2024 programs: newimpact's other 2024 programs, focused on advancing tri-sector innovation (tsi) through education, workshops, and resource development to promote tri-sector problem solving and innovation:- ball state university: delivered a tsi introduction as part of miller school of business reimagining business education speaker series and led a community workshop on a public utility model for food insecurity. - blue ridge labs: conducted a three-hour workshop for impact-centered start-ups in the blue ridge labs accelerator, focused on building stronger and more impactful business models through principles, followed by mentorship support. - green phoenix collaborative: provided educational resources, an interactive workshop, and community facilitation to introduce tsi principles. - newimpact wiki database: maintained and provided ongoing access to the newimpact wiki, a free and open online platform designed to help entrepreneurs, managers, and policymakers identify cross-sector resources and potential collaborators, integrating tools for exploring government, nonprofit, and private-sector initiatives.- tri-sector innovation teaching hub: an educational resource to help universities and training programs integrate tsi concepts. The project includes instructional content, learning modules, and teaching best practices, with development still in progress.these initiatives support newimpact's mission to promote tri-sector collaboration by equipping communities, organizations, start-ups, and universities with practical tools, frameworks, and resources for problem-solving and impact-driven innovation.
