New jersey operation lifesaver is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation established in 1978 and incorporated under the laws of the state of new jersey in 2002 as a public safety education and awareness organization dedicated to reducing collisions, fatalities and injuries at highway-rail crossings and trespassing on or near new jersey's railroad tracks. Njol promotes rail safety through specialized educational programs and public awareness campaigns njol is a member of the new jersey railroad association.
