Programs
3 programs
Indigidao (funded by robert wood johnson foundation) proposes to assess how or if web 3.0 tools (including dao+, blockchain, etc) can be used to advance indigenous core values like collaboration, reciprocity, shared ownership, and nourishment-based exchange, without exploiting the communities and individuals involved. Our aims in the short term are to support native american entrepreneurs and to counter the potentially extractive nature of these emerging tools, through a co-designed fund among a representative community that provides access to working capital and other values in a safe and reinforcing environment. In time we hope this initiative contributes to and/or informs a shift in the nature of economics in our communities and beyond.
Community lending (funded by rooted relative fund (rcac) and nusenda credit union) - nmcc acts as the bridge between community and nontraditional lenders. Through these programs nmcc provides ta support to ensure that community members are qualified to receive loans and to ensure they are able to meet there loan commitments.
Fiscal services - fiscal sponsorship services are provided to companies in the community who have a nonprofit mission, many of which are in the process of getting their own 501(c)3 status. This program is financed through a percentage of the grants sponsorees receive.
