The foundation received funding from the dohs office of assistant secretary for preparedness and response (aspr) to serve as the mechanism to distribute funding directly to hospitals in support of urgent preparedness and response needs of hospitals, health systems and health care workers during the covid-19 pandemic, as well as to support their preparation for future special pathogen disease outbreaks.
The foundation entered into a contract with convergence health, a hospital quality improvement contractor (hqic) which received funding through september 2024 from center for medicare & medicaid services (cms) that established a network of quality improvement and innovation contractors (nqiic), to achieve large scale improvement results using effective and innovative quality improvement strategies that are data driven and transparent.
The w.k. Kellogg foundation awarded the new mexico hospital association (nmha) grant dollars to support work that will advance health equity for children and families. The foundation is making this grant on the condition that new mexico hospital education & research foundation (fiscal sponsor) will receive all grant funds as grantees fiscal sponsor and ensure that such funds are spent in accordance with the agreement. With these grant dollars, the nmha will develop educational supports for hospitals in new mexico that will improve health care experiences and assist in the establishment patient advisory committees.
