Health policy forum & other advocacy activities 2.nmpha fridays: spring through fall of 2024 nmpha continued our virtual friday lunchtime discussion series to the summer and fall 2024 academic cycle to highlight important state policy issues, advocates and key collaborators health policy forum & other advocacy activities 1.annual policy forum nmpha hosted its 21st annual health policy legislative forum (speak for health and wellness) on dec. 5, 2024, which convened organizations and advocates working toward state policy change in new mexico. The forum provided an opportunity to share potential and proposed legislation and build alliances. The 2024 forum included: - 191 registrants - 1 keynote speaker - community voice: dr. Bill wagner, centro savila - local officials health panel - discussion panel: health equity and social justice - legislative policy proposal session w/ 19 pitches from state policy advocates - discussion panel: public health & policy 2. Public health day on monday, feb 12, 2024, nmpha co-hosted the 9th annual public health day at the state capitol rotunda. The in-person event was co-sponsored by leading public health organizations in new mexico and included a discussion of current legislation to support public health in the 2024 state legislative session
