New Mexico Wild Action Fund

New mexico wild action fund also conducts lobbying activities (20%) when necessary to attempt to influence public policy and legislation at the local, state, and federal levels, related to conservation of public lands, waters, and wildlife. Lobbying activities are conducted by staff, primarily the executive director, political director, policy director, and communications coordinator. Lobbying furthers our exempt purpose of advocating for the protection of new mexico's public lands, water and wildlife by attempting to influence the passage of conservation legislation.

During election years, new mexico wild action fund will spend no more than 40% of its budget on electoral activities, including coordinated and independent expenditures work, via staff and/or independent contractors.
