New Place Players creates intimate, transformative Shakespeare productions that fuse live music and inventive storytelling, performing in a wide range of found spaces (e.g. private homes, churches or other public spaces, as well as traditional black box theaters.), dissolving the boundary between audience and performer, seeking to cultivate connection. Through performance and our Embodied Shakespeare educational program, we bring Shakespeare to life with chamber music, across languages, mediums, and classrooms, serving underrepresented communities. We invite everyone to engage deeply with his language, characters, and enduring humanity.
