Educational outreach, registry promotion, and collaboration:donate life nys continues to engage in comprehensive public outreach campaigns, partnering with organizations dedicated to raising awareness about the lifesaving impact of organ and tissue donation. We develop educational curricula for both the public and professionals, conduct social and behavioral research to understand new yorkers' perceptions of donation, and foster collaborative forums with the broader donation and transplant community.in 2024, donate life nys advanced the multilingual "be the one" campaign in new york city. This initiative featured a series of impactful advertisements in seven languages, designed to reach and resonate with new york's diverse communities. By tailoring our messaging to reflect the cultural and linguistic richness of our state, we have significantly enhanced our public engagement and donor enrollment efforts.our registry partner program remains a vital component of our statewide effort. Organizations interested in promoting donor registration complete an online application via the donatelife.ny.gov website. Once approved by donate life nys and the new york state department of health, partners receive custom urls and/or embedded enrollment forms to integrate into their digital and print materials. These tools allow partners to track aggregate data on donor enrollments generated through their outreach efforts.recognizing the crucial role of frontline staff in promoting donor registration, we expanded our outreach to the new york state department of motor vehicles (dmv). Over 1,000 dmv employees participated in formal educational sessions as well as our dmv ambassador program in 2024. This program ensures that dmv staff are well-equipped to inform new yorkers about donor registration opportunities during routine interactions.donate life nys continues to work closely with the donation community through forums such as donate life america, the new york state transplant council, and the unos region 9 collaborative. In 2024, we have further strengthened these partnerships to share best practices and enhance collective advocacy for policies aimed at growing enrollments in organ and tissue donor registries.in response to the persistent need for increased donor registration in underrepresented areas, donate life nys prioritized outreach in communities with historically low enrollment. Special attention was given to communities disproportionately affected by conditions leading to organ failure. Through targeted educational initiatives and community events, we have worked diligently to address these disparities and promote a more inclusive donor registry.
New york state donate registry contract:in partnership with the new york state department of health and the nys department of motor vehicles, donate life nys remains responsible for administering and promoting the new york state donate life registry. Our strategic initiatives have focused on increasing enrollment, particularly at dmv field offices, ensuring that new yorkers have every opportunity to register as donors.
