New York Conference Of Italian American State Legislators Inc

To encourage and support research and study in the area of italian-american studies, through scholarships and student aid; to support activities targeted towards the elimination of ethnic discrimination; to install and foster a sense of civic duty in young people by increasing their awareness of, and encouraging participation in, the legislative process in the state of new york; to support and encourage activities aimed at enhancing school curricula with courses of study which highlight the italian and italian-american cultures; to promote greater public awareness and appreciation for the italian culture through publications, materials and public forums.
