Nascar event weekend 6/14-6/16/2024. The 2024 nascar event weekend at iowa speedway in newton was held on june 14-16 and featured the tracks inagural nascar cup series race on sunday june 16. That event sold out of tickets and hospitality in record time, so the focus of our promotional push shifted to the two supporting events, the nascar xfinity series race on saturday june 15 and the arca menards series event on friday june 14. Through effective cross-promotions with the cup series marketing campaign and a highly targeted advertising strategy the net results were sell-out crowds for both of the supporting series races. Promotional components of this event included a combination of outdoor (billboard) advertising, signage for promotional events, premium give-away items for promotional events, and targeted des moines airport advertising.
