To promote and carry out public educational and charitable activities including the creation, publication and distribution of news and information in the city of newton, massachusetts and surrounding areas; to promote an informed citizenry and to help secure public engagement, government accountability, and an inclusive community where all voices have a chance to be heard; to support, promote and provide fair, factual, professional reporting and analysis of issues affecting newton and its surrounding areas , including its government, businesses, institutions, and people; to support, promote and provide local news coverage through core values of facts, truth, transparency, independence andprofessionalism providing avenues for citizen voices to be heard in respectful settings.
