Newtown helps people improve their financial well-being while strengthening communities through education, counseling, coaching and the development and stewardship of permenently affordable homes.

Community land trust - newtown is also well-known for its community land trust (clt) which is the development of permanent homes that provide homeownership opportunites for generations of lower income families. Created in 2001, newtowns clt is the largest in arizona and includes over 200 homes throughout maricopa county. During fiscal year 2023-2024 newtown developed 27 units of affordable housing.
