Mission
The principal purpose of the institute is to actively and continuously engage directly in the conduct of medical research, both on its own and in conjunction with one or more hospitals and universities. The institute has begun its initial efforts in scientific and medical research to accelerate the development of research findings and technologies that will lead to the creation of new medicines, new diagnostics, and other enabling products to treat patients with neurofibromatosis ("nf") and other debilitating neuronal diseases and related conditions. In the current year, the institute has established research partnerships and began construction on its operational space.
