The niibi center is dedicated to supporting the traditions of the anishinaabe (ojibwe) that have, throughout our presence on this continent, respected the waters of our world through action, ceremony and ritual. The waters are living and need the care we can offer to sustain them in a healthy way or we all suffer.

Cultural revitalization through language immersion the ojibwe language is central to our culture and survival. Niibi center is building a home based,family centered immersion program that will support today's anishinaabe family and our community to learn language and traditions.

Expenses: $150K

Institute for the rights of nature/anishinaabe law iron is focused on full enforcement of white earth's 2019 rights of manoomin legislation, designed to protect niibi and manoomin under tribal law. As a part of this work, niibi center is engaging community and tribal government and partners to leverage participatory research done in 2020/2021 to raise awareness and educate the community about traditional anishinaabe law approaches to developing and enforcing laws, policies, and procedures as a foundation to full enforcement of the rights of manoomin and around white earth. The country's first anishinaabe law conference was held in 2023 and gathered scholars, activists and community members from across the country.
