The Foundation's support allowed NCPA to tie into the "Educate" application that is used by the Archdiocese of New York. A "per student" fee permits access to the system which assists the administration immensely. "Educate" streamlines attendance reporting, report cards, emergency notifications to parents, and allows parents to set up a user account to check their child's grades at any time. This funding also has had and will continue to have a direct impact on the educational experience of NCPA girls in the following ways: 1) for the Extended Day Program, NCPA was able to hire a physical education teacher; 2) a plan is in place to hire a part-time music teacher in the fall for the Extended Day Program; 3) the 8th Grade class was able to take an educational trip into New York City for a tour of the United Nations. Funding was also used for miscellaneous building/maintenance costs.
