National childhood cancer registry (nccr) - the purpose of this task order is to create a coordinating center supporting the nccr - an aggregated national level childhood cancer patient database in partnership with many leading pediatric oncology organizations across the u.s.
Conferences and webinars -non-federal programs including a year- long monthly webinar series supporting and training in case abstracting and processing of cancer records providing continuing education credits to the cancer registrar community. Also includes the naaccr annual conference which is the annual scientific meeting of the cancer surveillance community either in-person or virtually. Additional workshop courses are usually provided as adjacent events. Ods exam prep and review webinar series is also provided three times per year with live interactive instruction.
The purpose of the virtual pooled registry cancer linkage system (vpr-cls) project shall expand into a scaled-up effort to facilitate linkages with central cancer registries using the vpr-cls. It will also continue to refine a capacity similar to the national death index without the need to create an aggregated national level cancer patient database. The vpr-cls will provide researchers with a single location and standard processes for an initial linkage behind the firewall of multiple registries, receipt of match counts, streamlined application process for release of individual-level registry data, and tracking of study status across registries.
Cdc cooperative agreement - the title of the program is the national partnerships to promote cancer surveillance standards and support data quality and operations of national program of cancer registries, education, standards, and translation. Naaccr works collaboratively with npcr leadership to support the development, promotion, maintenance, and communication of data standards for population-based central cancer registration. Improve central cancer registry operations through the development and dissemination of documented best practices. Increase reporting via electronic mechanisms and meaningful use impletmentation.
