The annual convention offers continuing education with high attendance at the training sessions. Eight hours of continuing education are available towards the renewal of electrical licenses for members. The convention also offers networking opportunities with other members and vendors. The trade show held during the convention allows contractors to see the latest technological advances in materials and equipment.

NCAEC offers apprenticeship training programs in which trainees can work with licensed professionals for job training along with classroom study. These programs allow the trainees to gain competencies that will assist them in understanding the profession, encourage networking with professionals and work toward earning their professional license.
