Programs
2 programs
Aca outreach and enrollment program - this program assists eligible h-2a farmworkers with enrollment in health insurance plans and provides ongoing support to ensure they understand how to maintain coverage. The project conducts insurance utilization training for enrolled workers and helps farmworkers resolve issues such as receiving insurance cards, making payments, and submitting required documentation to the insurance marketplace.
Community-based participatory research - this program collaborates with wake forest university on participatory research projects to gather data on issues affecting farmworkers, including pesticide exposure, housing conditions, food security, and other health topics. The project facilitates connections between farmworkers and researchers, recruits community data collectors to conduct interviews and gather information, and assists with disseminating research findings to the community.
