North Carolina League Of Conservation Voters Inc

Accountability & Political program: Staff and members engage in efforts to hold NC legislators accountable for environmental decisions, publish approx 3000 legislative scorecards, engage over 40,000 online activists, engage voters in the democratic process, inform members of endorsements, work to elect pro-conservation candidates for legislative and statewide office.

Influencing policy program: staff/volunteers performed legislative & non-legislative activities including research, education, lobbying, and policy development. Published weekly e-newsletter for decision-makers. Work with various coalitions of environmental and allied groups to develop strategy and advocate on key environmental issues. Educate and engage citizens and members on key environmental policies. Long term objective is to pass sound environmental legislation and strong, equitable environmental protections for all North Carolinians.
