2024 spring education symposium wilmington, nc 05/22/2024-05/24/2024 the keynote speakers were shawn dubravac and james dallas. Preconference training was provided to the membership, microsoft power platform fundamentals. The attendees received various educational sessions to include managing teams today, cyber defenders, strategy, policy, and practice, automation, hands-on training with power apps, javascript, mysql, vmware, desktop support, enhanced security in gis, systems integration, it major incident and change management, career advancement, women in it, and drones.

The members are eligible to enroll in the listserve. The website is also where they register for the two (fall and spring) symposiums as well as regional meetings and training classes.the listserve is a daily communications tool for all members to seek assistance or to offer advice.members are eligible to enroll in sponsored "topic specific" educational classes. These are taught at member locations.nclgisa also has enhanced the (no charge) help offered to the local government, k12 and community colleges for any cyber incidents as well as providing guidance on how to improve and strengthen their cyber security posture to ward of cyberattacks.
