Mission
The mission of the organization is to promote a philosophy of independent living for individuals with disabilities by consumer control, peer support, self-help and motivation, equal access, and individual and systems advocacy; maximize opportunities for individuals with disabilities; and support integration and full inclusion of individuals with disabilities into mainstream society. It was established under authority of the rehabilitation act of 1973, asamended.
