North Cental Wisconsin Ahec Inc

Field placement programs for non-scholars students: north central ahec supports a variety of community-based experiential training programs that include field experiences, projects, and clinical rotations for undergraduate and graduate level health professions students. Some examples include: community health internship program (chip), advocates in medicine pathway (amp), and community health engagement projects.

Pathway activities:pathway activities involve the recruitment, training, interactive and/or didactic activities developed for high school students (grades 9-12) and pre-health undergraduate students which focus on increasing awareness of and interest in health careers. Program activities center around exploring the multitude of health careers available. Pathway programs offered by north central ahec include: programming using virtual reality simulations, multi-day health careers exploration experience in collaboration with the department of public instruction upward bound program for high school students, a future oral health workforce day for high school students, and a future physician's day open to high school juniors/seniors and pre-med undergraduates in partnership with the medical college wisconsin-central wisconsin campus.

Continuing educationcontinuing education programs are programs for currently practicing healthcare professionals. This year ncahec collaborated with uw-extension to offer wecope training.
