North Coast Opportunities Inc

Head start child development program provides educational preschool and center-based childcare. Supportive services for pregnant mothers and families with children ages 0-5 are provided for low-income eligible. Approximately 313 families and 329 children and 1 pregnant women are served each year.

Redwood caregiver resource center: provides support and respite services to family members who are caring for a family member who is either struggling with a brain injury or significant medical condition, in an effort to avoid early institutionalization. Approximately 600 clients are served each year.

Community action / csbg programs: the programs work with other programs and agencies to help low-income people rise out of poverty and become more self-sufficient. Csbg funding includes support to nco's garden projects, disaster relief, homeless prevention, disaster preparedness, work force development and food/nutrition services. Nco also has robust volunteer network that creates opportunities for people of all ages to volunteer, learn and lead in their communities.
