North country provided disability services in 8 counties and 4 tribal reservations in northwest wisconsin. The 5 core services are information & referral, advocacy, peer support, transition & independent living training. North country provided information about disability-related issues to 1,804 callers. In addition, north country assisted 93 consumers in accomplishing 71 goals they had set during the year. Other north country services included accessibility, assistive technology, transportation, youth transition, vocation benefits counseling, integrated employment, and peer support. North country promotes consumer control and choice. North country provides services in the following 8 counties in northwest wisconsin. Douglas, bayfield, ashland, iron, price, sawyer, burnett, & washburn. North country provides services to the following 4 tribal communities red cliff, bad river, st. Croix, & lac courte oreilles. Across our service area, we conducted 1,153.65 hours of community outreach and connections.
North country provided voucher assistance to 101 individuals covering 144,368 miles. The purpose of their 8794 rides include education and training, medical, shopping and personal, and social and recreational.
Other projects such as wistech assistive technology, universal service, cilww, expanded services, and wisloan telework.
