A non-profit agency with nearly five decades of expertise offering programs and services which develop youth reslience, nurture family strengths, and partner to solve community problems in san diego county.

Programs

Youth development lifeline partners with law enforcement, schools, cities, and other community organizations to reduce truancy/juvenile delinquency and prevent youth from joining local gangs. Lifeline works with youth arrested for minor offenses and misdemeanors and their families, and provides counselling, mentoring, parent education and connects them with services that best meet their needs. Intensive gang prevention and intervention services are provided in the north coastal regions.

Housing and self-sufficiency a group of programs to help individuals and families in north coastal and north inland with emergency assistance, financial education, eitc and taxes, housing, and to develop educational and career goals. Participants may be referred to a variety of resources to help them achieve their goals. Housing, development of independent living skills, and mental health services are provided to transitional age youth who have aged out of the foster care system as well as youth who are experiencing homelessness or unstably housed.

Human trafficking prevention & intervention lifeline partners with the san diego county human trafficking task force members and other community partners to provide comprehensive 24-hour response crisis services, ongoing case management and support, and therapeutic services to victims of sex and labour trafficking. Additionally, lifeline provides public awareness education, prevention groups to young people in the region, and training for professionals entering the field of human trafficking.project lifeproject life is an advocacy program that works with victims and survivors of commercial sexual exploitation of children and labour trafficking. Offers trauma informed services that include victim advocacy, crisis management, safety planning, intensive case management, behavioral health services and trauma specific treatment, peer-led support and emergency housing and residential coordination to men, women and lgbtq-identifying individuals of all ages. Also offers prevention groups and workshops for youth and trainings on human trafficking to raise community awareness and to give community-based providers, first responders, community members the tools they need to identify signs and report.
