Mission
North Dakota Rural Electric Cooperatives Foundation's exempt purpose is to advance the quality of life for people living in rural and frontier areas of North Dakota by providing education, research, and other tools to unincorporated associations, cooperatives, and nonprofit organizations which enable these organizations to provide essential services to rural people, especially the elderly, the poor, and the distressed, as well as Native Americans and other minority populations.

Collecting contributions to be used to build a new lineworker training facility that will be used jointly by NDAREC and BSC. Primarily the building will be leased by BSC to provide education to students interested in becoming lineworkers. Education and training courses will also be held by NDAREC in the facility for current lineworkers to teach new skills, providing safety training, and other relevant education and training needs.
