The mission is to empower individuals and families in Gadsden County to become more self-determined,self-sufficient and self-sustaining;to develop mechanisms for direct involvement with citizens and create a climate in which the community is able to develop cooperative solutions.

Crime survivors for safety and justice also known as cssj is a national network of over 100,000 crime survivors. It gives survivors of crime a voice in public policy and brings survivors to the center of the conversation around criminal justice reform and public safety policy.

The Freedom School Program incoporates an intense program during summer to engage youth in reading and encourage them to read more as well as discussing the benefits of skilled readers. The targeted population are youth from low income families that may not have access to books, libraries, and schools or summer camps. Also, this program provides mentoring to help kids build their self-esteem and teaches strategies on leadership and character.
