North Liberty Community Pantry

The community closet provides year-round access to gently used, in-season clothing and footwear for individuals and families in need. In 2024, the closet supported families by offering up to 10 clothing items, one pair of new underwear, and one pair of new socks per family member each month. Additionally, the program hosted a seasonal coat distribution in the fall, ensuring access to winter outerwear. This service supports the pantry's mission to meet basic needs with dignity and continues to be an essential resource for families in north liberty and rural johnson county. In 2024, north liberty community pantry distributed a total of 51,851 total clothing items.

Grocery delivery became the fastest-growing program at north liberty community pantry, reflecting the continued need for accessible food assistance since the covid-19 pandemic. This service supports individuals and families who are unable to shop in person due to health, mobility, or transportation barriers. Deliveries are offered three times per weekmondays, wednesdays, and thursdays to households in north liberty, oxford, swisher, and solon. The program significantly contributed to the community through 2,191 deliveries.
