North Natomas Jibe Walk Bike Bus

Placemaking & Outreach: Collaborated with community members and stakeholders to transform public spaces that foster a sense of belonging and connection. Advocated for subsidized public transportation, promoted active transportation, submitted comment letters to improve development projects, and drew attention to transportation issues and solutions.

Jibe to School: Sponsored bike training to high school students as part of a vocational career pathway, serving 100 students during 5 classes. Project Ride Smart class provided for over 700 students. Promoted walking, biking, and rolling to school with games and contests including Walktober, Bike Month, and Polar Bear March. Supported programs at 11 school site, encouraging and providing support for students walking to school daily. Over 26% of total school enrollment walked at least weekly.

Jibe to Work: Grants to business partners to install 11 bike racks. Outreach and incentives around May is Bike Month, Clean Air Month and other contests. Saddle Up Saturdays resulted in over 140 incentive trips to local restaurants instead of car travel. Marketing including a direct mailer and hosted Lunch and Learns with the Chamber of Commerce.

Sustainable Travel: Supported clear air, ride share and other sustainable travel initiatives.
