The primary exempt purpose of Northern Light Opera Company NLOC is to provide arts and educational opportunities to the community The primary program is a presentation of an annual music theater presentation led by professional stage director scenic and technical director choreographer music director pit orchestra of professional musicians and lighting and sound designers Volunteers from the community spend hundreds of hours as set and costume builders Sixty Actorsingersmusicians have an opportunity to perform for an audience of over 2000 patrons NLOC also presents educational workshops NLOKids Drama Camp 3-weeks WorkBench New Play workshop 1-week Workbench Filmmaking workshop 1-week and sponsored production of a public performance of A very good Christmas Carol developed in conjunction with NLOC
