Uptown Arts Stroll - A month-long festival held in June. This well known, community-wide festival provides a cultural and public platform for more than 300 artists, arts organizations and businesses. NoMAA produces its opening and closing receptions, open studio events, and select art-making workshops. Events span West Harlem through Inwood areas and serve nearly 62,000 people from NYC.
Technical Assistance - NoMAAs annual Technical Assistance Institute, a one-day program held in the fall that includes workshops/panels on community and arts and how these are tied to issues in fundraising, marketing and empowerment. The Technical Assistance Institute is designed to promote a better understanding of the fundamental steps involved in creating and sustaining a professional career as an artist and developing and running a successful arts organization. A series of 9 hands-on workshops for individual artists and emerging arts organizations to continue developing professional skills, strengthen organizational infrastructures, and peer networks.
