A not for profit corporation whose goals are to collect, preserve, restore, display and operate streetcars and other electric railway equipment for the education and entertainment of the public. Provide educational programs at the museum and local schools.

It also provides speakers for local school and civic organizations about subjects related to streetcars and electric railways. The Museum participates in the Boy Scout Merit Badge program and Operation Life Saver.
