Mission
To support the needs of the members of the northport volunteer fire department; the purpose of the department's existence is to provide fire protection and ambulance service to the village of northport and its fire protection districts.

"fire prevention program" for the over 900 elementary school children, grades k thru 4, and for the 160 children in the community's day care facilities, who are given instruction on fire and personal safety. Educational materials and firefighter demonstrations are provided for the students, school staff, and for the students' parents and family members.
