To assist its clients to overcome life's challenges and enhance their quality of life in the community. Services provided include outpatient psychiatric counseling and therapy, an assortment of community-based services, and a supportive housing unit for persons with disabilities. It also, provides services for the deaf, hard of hearing, and those in need of interpretation.

Mental health case management continues to implement strategies to improve program performance to the chronically and severely mentally ill, linking the adults to community resources and activities, monitoring those services and advocating in his or her behalf in the northwest quadrant of duval county. Approximately 640 persons were served during the year.

Expenses: $309K

The organization provided targeted case management and behavioral health services to four duval county public schools through the boys & girls club of northeast florida. These schools include arlington heights, arlington elementary, northwestern legends, and highlands elementary. In addition to case management, nwbh facilitates workshops that focus on building self- esteem, character and leadership, youth suicide-prevention awareness, and other important life-skills. Approximately 350 students and boys & girls club members benefit from these services each year. Nwbh also provides specialized workshops for seniors through the city of jacksonville's senior services program. These sessions focus primarily on grief education, emotional wellness, and healthy coping strategies. Approximately 200 seniors participated in these workshops.

Mental health children's and treating trauma programs provided mental and behavioral health intervention services for and families that experience stress as traumatic incident which included immediate, short term crisis stability, grief and trauma support in the norwest quadrant of duval county. Approximately 180 people were served during the year.
