Mission
The organization hosts twice-monthly dances with live music for all dancers in a non-competitive environment. We also hold workshops for various dance styles again open to all dancers with our without partners. Our major event of the year was our annual Seabeck Dance Camp where 110+ dancers spent four days at a retreat-style conference center with numerous workshops and dances with live music. We hire many different bands during the year. We keep admission costs as low as possible in order to attract dancers of all ages.

Dances Dances - We offered twice monthly Saturday evening dances in 2024 which were widely publicized and open to the public. Dancers of all ages singles couples beginners experienced were welcomed at all dances. Pre-dance lessons were offered as well included in the admission price. The dances featured live music thus supporting many area musicians. Twenty-three Saturday dances were held at Leif Erikson Lodge in Seattle with an average attendance of 65 dancers down from 75 dancers in 2023. This was still well below our pre-Covid-19 average of 116 in 2019.
Workshops - We expanded offerings of workshops and all were to the public and offered a variety of traditional social dances. Single dancers and couples of all ages and abilities were welcome in a non-competitive group setting. Instructors were highly skilled and professionally trained. Tuition was kept low to make classes affordable. A total of 24 workshop were held attracting 377 participants.
