Mission
NW Documentary teaches and supports documentary filmmaking and nonfiction storytelling. This is accomplished by providing workshops workspace access to equipment and community to filmmakers. NW Documentary also works with partner organizations to facilitate video production. Key program highlights in 2023 include: setting up a new community workspace running youth programs in partnership with OMSI and Portland Public Schools providing creative support for the Immigrant Story Project and providing no-cost access to production equipment. NW Documentary also offers individual support for filmmakers and film projects.
