College Prep Program: In NWEA's College Prep Program, we help young people prepare for higher education and meaningful employment. Our aim is for each student to enroll in an appropriate post-secondary program with the resources and skills they need to succeed. Our Education Advocates work one-on-one with each student to create a career and academic achievement plan tailored to the student's gifts and goals. As students work toward credentials and exams, Education Advocates help them identify the best academic program for their needs, navigate the education system, apply for a post-secondary program, prepare a quarterly personal budget that will realistically gauge expenses, obtain financial aid and private scholarships, secure housing, address life barriers (childcare, transportation), register for classes, and effectively access campus services.
