Northwest Youth Corps

Conservation interns program: provides professional training, mentoring, and workforce experience to young adult participants seeking to enter the conservation, resource management, and related fields. Participants are individually recruited and placed in limited duration, para-professional positions for periods of 8 weeks to 52 weeks, depending on the assignment. Interns earn a living allowance while gaining workforce training, which includes professional mentorship, skills development, evaluation, and hands-on learning. Interns are typically placed with municipal, state, or federal agencies that have land or water management responsibilities.
