In 2024, nuestra familia a counseling and social services agency, inc. (nfacs) made significant progress in fulfilling its mission to expand access to information, guidance, and essential health resources for underserved communities across southern california. During this year, nfacs hired and trained certified enrollment counselors to assist individuals and families with covered california and medi-cal applications, helping more residents secure affordable healthcare coverage and vital support services. A major milestone was our partnership with hollywood presbyterian medical center (hpmc) and angeles community health centers (achc), federally qualified health centers throughout los angeles county. Together, we developed a coordinated outreach effort focused on expecting mothers and womens health. Through this collaboration, nfacs connected women regardless of legal statusto prenatal care through achc clinics and labor and delivery services at hpmc, ensuring access to quality care at no or low cost through californias public health programs. Throughout 2024, nfacs hosted community outreach events across hospitals and clinics, providing education, enrollment support, and healthcare connections that strengthened trust, wellness, and empowerment within the communities we serve.
